The Reindeer Keepers

"It's important to me when I find a girl, that she's someone that I love as much as I love the reindeer. That's when I know I've found the right girl." – Ber-Joná Labba

Cultures are influenced, changed and sometimes merged. The Sami have lived alongside other peoples for several hundreds of years in what are now Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia. Despite, or perhaps because of, the influences to which the Sami have been exposed, they and their culture have kept their distinctiveness.

The Reindeer Keepers is an unmissable and heart-warming documentary giving us an intimate insight to the everyday lives of three young reindeer keepers living in Sapmi. Here family and friends means everything.

In this documentary we join Inga Biret Márjá Triumf, Laara Persson and Ber-Joná Labba through hectic summer nights, hard work, family get togethers, party, Tinder swipes and a football derby.
