5-year-olds Acke and Fia live in a really big family. The have two mums, two dads, eight grandparents and then there is Gullie, their slightly confused great-grandmother. These two kids live in the kind of family that is almost never portrayed in children’s programmes.
The Rainbow Family live together in a large house, and there is always a lot going on. Acke and Fia love being surrounded by people and they wouldn’t want to change their family for the world.
By depicting an extended LGBT family, but without highlighting this fact in any way, this series wants to show children that families today come in all shapes and sizes.
