The film portraits Karl Ove Knausgård during the year after he finished writing “My Struggle”, an
enormous enterprise that has left him exhausted and depressed. We get to follow his everyday life in Sweden but also on book launches overseas, to New York and Barcelona. Karl Ove Knausgård also travels to his home country Norway were he meets his mother and other people appearing in “My Struggle”.
This documentary is an exclusive portrait of one of Scandinavia's most interesting authors. It also contains the only interview ever done with Karl Ove Knausgård together with his wife, author Linda Boström Knausgård.
