Have you ever dreamed of selling everything and just leave it all behind? In this brand new Swedish format we meet families who actually went ahead and did it.
Family Adventures is a documentary series about four families who have turned their back on dull everyday existence in search of the good life, on the other side of the world.
Through eight episodes we follow the families and together with them we share every emotion, from homesickness and fear, to joy and sheer bliss.
THE SAILORS: Linda, Ludvig and their two children have been living on a sailing boat in southern Sweden for years, just to save money. Now they are about to anchor aweigh and circle the earth, not just one, but many times.
THE VETERANS: Over ten years ago, Ola, Therese and their three children swapped small town life in Sweden for Brazil, where they are running a hotel. Ola’s daughter Amanda has stayed in Sweden for her education, but now that she has graduated from high school she will be joining the family.
THE SETTLERS: Ingrid, Ola and their two kids have been commuting to New Zealand on and off for many years. Now they have sold their home and business to move there permanently. They look for a self-sufficient life, as far away from Sweden as possible.
THE ROOKIES: Elin, Marcus and their three children have moved to Indonesia, to work as health care volunteers for a few years. But life in the bustling megacity Bandung is not always a bed of roses.
