In the fall of 2015 one of the world’s biggest book releases takes place. The book is the fourth about Lisbeth Salander, continuing the late Stieg Larsson’s enormously successful Millennium Trilogy, and it is to be released simultaneously in 27 countries and 48 languages.
The man behind the new novel, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, is the Swedish author David Lagercrantz. He has recently had great success with his biography on football super star Zlatan Ibrahimović, but this time the critics call him an immoral tomb raider and a simple ghost writer.
In the film we follow David Lagercrantz around the globe, during the year when he takes on his biggest challenge ever. It turns out to be an extremely exhausting journey, leaving him more and more fragile with each press interview and book signing event.
